Microsoft has announced that it is going to buy back another $20 Billion dollars worth of stock adding to the $30 Billion it has already bought in the last year.

The question that I am asking is, whether it may not be deliberately depressing sentiment and hence valuations of its own stock, so that it gets more bang for its buck? Another meeting today saw executive being vague and evassive, which caused their stock to drop another 2%. Is this not the intended and desired outcomes of such actions?
